Immersion heaters are designed primarily for direct immersion in liquids such as water, oils, solvents and process solutions, molten materials as well as air and gases. By generating all the heat within the liquid or process, these heaters are virtually 100 percent energy efficient. These versatile heaters can also be formed and shaped into various geometries for radiant heating and contact surface heating applications. UL® and CSA component recognized elements are available.
Mica strip heaters are only thick and .156″ ideal for plate heating applications. Mica strip heaters will operate up 900° F or to 1200° F with optional stainless steel sheath. This thin, low mass construction provides fast heat up times.
Band/barrel heaters are available for fast delivery and can be easily installed into of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and end user applications. This variety of heaters allows the user to specify the construction needed to result in the best heat solution.
Cartridge heaters (insertion heaters) provide superior heat transfer, uniform temperatures, resistance to oxidation and corrosion and long life even at high temperatures. Customers benefit from custom designs, on-time delivery, quality and technical assistance.
Duct heaters are constructed of sturdy 0.430 in. (11 mm) diameter tubular heating elements mounted to a 1⁄4 in. (6 mm) thick steel flange. These air duct heaters are easily adapted to many non-pressurized air-heating systems.
Duct heaters are easily installed in applications requiring a wide range of temperature versus air flow combinations.
The versatile coil/cable heater can be formed into a variety of shapes. Cable heaters are small diameter, high-performance units, fully annealed and readily bent to a multitude of configurations.
Ceramic fiber heaters offer some of the highest temperature heating element capabilities in the family of heaters. Heating units constructed of ceramic fiber insulation isolate the heating chamber from the outside. Ceramic fiber heaters are extremely low mass, high insulation value units with self-supported heating elements. Many applications can benefit from the convenience of the heating element and insulation combined into one package. Its lightweight, low-density properties make it ideally suited for high temperature applications requiring low thermal mass.
Radiant panel heaters serve a wide range of needs, from contamination-resistant surfaces to fast responding high-temperature panels.
The need for maintaining an ultra pure environment has lead to the development of pure aluminum cast-in heated parts. We have the capability to cast complex heated shapes in 99.7 percent pure aluminum that limits process contamination and offers increased operating temperatures up to 450°C (842°F).
HTS/Amptek flexible electric heating products include laboratory heating tapes, industrial heating tapes, heating cable, heating jackets, cable jackets, insulated jackets, heating blankets, accessories, temperature controls and control systems.
Our manufactures make sensor products to fit customer application needs. A wide variety of temperature sensors including thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) and thermistors, as well as wire, mineral insulated cable, connectors and hardware are designed and supplied as well.
Temperature and process controllers are used over a vast range of industrial, scientific and commercial applications. These controllers automatically adjust outputs based on sensor feedback working in concert to control process variables such as temperature, flow, pressure and relative humidity, as well as, to achieve an optimized and stable process.
Solid state power switching devices complement the rapid switching required by PID temperature controllers and help deliver optimum system performance and service life. They are available in 1-phase and 3-phase/2-leg and 3-leg configurations, feature touch-safe terminations, input indicators, zero-cross, random or phase-angle fire options, ratings from 18 to 1,000 amperes and agency approvals including CE and UL® 508. Various configurations offer short circuit current ratings (SCCR) of 200,000 amperes, extensive system and heater diagnostic capabilities, heater bake out, integrated heat sinks, on-board fuses, RoHS compliance and serial communications.
ASA Sales has been building custom control boxes and panels for over 25 years to any specifications that are needed by our customers. All boxes and panels are built to UL508 standards.
